Introduction

Our client is seeking a strong, experienced Ruby on Rails engineer to join our clients Consumer Team and help bring innovation and customer satisfaction to the auto-repair industry. This team focuses on all consumer experiences of our clients website, from search engine optimization, to getting an auto-re pair estimate, to browsing our shop directory, to booking an appointment and having a great service experience at one of our clients Certified repair shops.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of programming experience

  • Bachelors in computer science or comparable degree

  • Proficient in Ruby and JavaScript programming (including ES6 and beyond)

  • Proficient in the Unix-style command-line

  • Experience with React or comparable front-end technology

About You

You are an exceptionally well-rounded engineer—a wizard at CSS and JavaScript, but equally comfortable navigating your way around a complex data model, writing controllers and views, and doing API development.

  • You are a fluent Ruby on Rails coder.

  • You have some sort of open-source work or a portfolio we can see.

  • You have either done a lot of React, or have done the basics and have a taste for more.

  • You work well with designers and product folks.

  • You feel confident mentoring other engineers in a diplomatic and constructive way, or would like to learn those skills.

  • Don't worry! You don't need to know anything about cars, but you should have a strong drive to help consumers.
